Every rented home needs a licence and a passed inspection
Denver phased in residential rental licensing: properties with more than one unit at a single location from 1 January 2023, and every residential rental, including a single rented house, from 1 January 2024. A property has to pass an inspection by a third-party inspector against the city's published checklist before the licence application goes in, so book that inspection before the unit is empty and earning nothing.
