Two-factor authentication and recovery codes
Protect your sign-in with a code from an authenticator app, and keep recovery codes somewhere safe.
Once your account holds tenant and financial records; it is required for administrators.
Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
Turn it on
- Open Settings → Security and start setting up two-factor authentication.
- Scan the code with an authenticator app, or open it in the app on the same device.
- Enter the code the app shows and choose Verify and turn on.
Recovery codes
RentMouse shows a set of recovery codes once. Store them somewhere safe: each works in place of an app code if you lose your phone. Generating new codes makes the old ones stop working.
Turning it off
You need a current code, or a recovery code, to turn two-factor off. Administrators must keep it on.
