Sending a document for electronic signature

Add signers, choose the signing order, send signing links, and follow each person's progress to a completed agreement.

When a draft is complete and reviewed, and everyone needs to sign.

Open the document → Signatures.

Add the signers

Add each person with their name, email and role: landlord, tenant, guarantor or witness.

Choose the order

  • Everyone at once: all signers get their link straight away.
  • One at a time, in order: each person gets their link only after the one before has signed.

How signing works

Each signer opens a private link, reviews the document, confirms their consent to sign electronically, and types or draws their signature. You can sign as the landlord from the document's page.

The history records when links were issued, opened and signed, with timestamps. Send a reminder to anyone who has not signed yet.

When everyone has signed

The document becomes Signed and a certificate of completion is available with the signing history. Tenants with portal access can find the signed copy there.

Legal note

  • Whether an electronic signature is valid for a particular document where the property is, and whether any party must receive a paper copy.
