Who the landlord is

The legal name and service address that go on every lease you create.

A person or an organization

The lease names the party the renter is actually contracting with. If you rent in your own name, that is you as an individual. If a company, society or other registered entity owns or holds the property, that entity is the landlord.

Your portfolio or building name is not automatically the legal landlord. RentMouse will not offer a portfolio name as a person's legal name — if you choose “an individual” and nothing has been recorded for a person, the field stays blank for you to fill in.

The address matters

The address on the lease is where a renter can serve you documents. If your post goes somewhere else, you can add a separate mailing address.

Entered once

These details come from your account registration, so the builder does not ask again on later leases. Change them in the builder or in your account profile and every new document picks the change up.
