Inviting tenants to the portal
Give a tenant their own sign-in to see their tenancy, invoices, shared documents and maintenance requests. It is free for tenants.
When a tenancy starts, or whenever you want a tenant to check records or report repairs themselves.
A tenant's page → Tenant portal → Invite to portal.
Send the invitation
Open the tenant and choose Invite to portal. RentMouse emails an invitation to the address on their record. The status changes from No portal access to Invited, then to Portal active once they set up their sign-in.
If the email did not arrive, check the address on the record and choose Resend invitation. Only team members allowed to invite tenants can do this.
What tenants can see
- Their home details and tenancy summary, with the property's shared photo.
- Their invoices, balances and recorded payments. They can report a payment and attach proof for you to verify.
- Documents shared with them, including agreements waiting for their signature.
- Their own maintenance requests, with photos and status.
What they cannot see
A tenant only ever sees their own tenancy. Other tenants, other units and your portfolio stay out of view.
Removing access
Revoke access from the tenant's page when a tenancy ends or access is no longer appropriate. Their records stay in your account.
